Quick trip: Atlanta
One of my New Year's resolution was to start something that I could call mine. I knew if I wanted to be successful I needed to research and take advice from someone who was already a master at the craft. So I decided to try and join an eCommerce and/or website workshop. I totally could have taken it online but what would have been the fun in that?
So I looked for a workshop in a city I had never been. Lucky for me Olori Swank was having one in Atlanta on Feb 20. I never drove to Atlanta let alone been in a car for 6 or more hours. Oh, well. The best solution to having the drive finish fast was to get a great friend. Which I did, #sisterfriend. We drove from 2:00 AM to 8:30 AM to get to Atlanta. I went to sleep and woke up at 11:00 AM. Got dressed and arrived to my workshop by 2:30 PM. I than left the workshop at 7:00 PM and I decided I wanted to try some soul food from the good ole South. I went back to get my friend and we had drinks, met great people, and ate at Glady's Chicken and Waffles from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
I was only in town for one night so... we went to Compound from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM. We were back on the road the next morning & it was the funnest mini girl's trip ever. Why? I didn't come to sleep, I came to work and play. That was the best snapshot of another city I've had. Short and sweet.
