Looking for somewhere free to take your child that has water? Look no further than Perry Harvey Sr. park in downtown Tampa. This hidden jewel was given a face lift and it's the perfect little nook to bring your children for some fun in the sun. & don't worry you won't have to be in the sun sweating with them; there are benches, tables, and chairs made of cement along the edge of the water area under the trees.
To learn the background of this park and the artwork which is represented check out the City of Tampa's website. In a nutshell, Perry Harvey was a civil rights leader in the Tampa community and Central Ave. near the parks location was once filled with locally black owned shops. So if your looking to feel some Tampa roots this is definitely a park to stop by.
