How to create your own professional, high quality promotional ads for FREE

Recommended graphic design program to create DYI promotional material: Canva

Hey moms! So I have been trying to perfect my promotional material so it doesn't look cheap but doesn't break my pockets at the same time. Being a start-up or even small business I have an almost non-existent marketing budget that I use to try and catch a sale versus create content. So after using a few different websites, apps, etc. I stumbled across this Canvaapplication that has a ton of free fonts, preset sizes for the type of ad your creating (banners, flyers, logos), images, and symbols.

They also have a lot of photos you can use to promote your items for $1 versus the $75 and upwards other websites like Shutterstock or the $150 and up Getty Images offers. Granted your not going to get celebrity photos but the stock photos are still good quality and there are a ton.

Canva offers the free subscription as well as a $12/month subscription for small businesses. I signed up for the 30 day trial and I personally didn't see that much of a difference. They promote that you have a bigger access to free photos but unless you plan on using more than 12+ paid photos, designs, etc. that are specific to that subscription I don't see the point.

Check out some of the promo material I have already created using Canva, some of my own images, and inspiration from Pinterest. All of the promos I created below I used with the free content Canva offered.
